Current Status
Northwoods is currently investing primarily in our GoDiagram
for .NET product rather than Go++. Microsoft has made it
clear that .NET is the future direction for Windows development,
so Northwoods, like Microsoft, is continuing to maintain
our MFC based products but are investing for the future
in .NET. We do not plan to produce any new releases of
Go++ unless they are required for maintenance purposes.
Northwoods
is also no longer offering technical support for Go++.
Customer Comments
GO++ gives you
a set of well written classes that makes it possible to
use Windows Metafiles in graphical applications. GO++ lets
you move and size images without any flickering, and the
classes can easy be extended to provide animations and whatever
need you might have since you are provided
with all the source code.
Northwoods provides
great support, and the classes are well documented. The
GO++ package comes with samples that helps understand how
to use the complex classes.
GO++ also has
a lot of functionality other than the metafile support that
can be included or left out, depending on your needs, without
any problems.
With GO++ we did
not have to worry about how to handle metafiles in an MFC
application, we could start right away programming for the
special needs of our application, which saved many hours
of development time.
